SPD Chief Andrea Nahles resigns

In Germany, resigned at the Social Democratic Party summit. Indeed, the president of the SPD Andréa Nahles announced her resignation after the collapse during the Europeans, the rise of internal criticism and discussions about maintaining her training in Angela Merkel’s coherence.

It will therefore withdraw from the presidency of the party and from the SPD in the German parliament. This party had suffered a failure in the European elections, winning only 15.5% of the votes, and thus being overtaken by the Greens with a score in excess of 20%. Andréa Nhales took over the SPD in April 2018.
