Griessmuehle

Griesmuhle is also a well-known club. Most of the clubs, like the Tresor or the Suicide Circus, are located in my neighbourhood: Kreuzberg. This club is located further away in Neukölln. I only went there once. Compared to previous ones, entry to the Griessmuehle is difficult and several of my friends have already been refused entry without valid reasons. The interior is large with 3 rooms,

1 main one with hard techno and 2 smaller ones with more advanced techno styles. The outside of the box is very nice with a swing, several seats and armchairs and especially a campfire around which you can warm up. I went there in winter and it came in handy when I wanted to get some fresh air without being too cold.

As in all Berlin clubs, telephones are strongly discouraged and photos are prohibited. However, the Griessmuehle is the only one in which we have been reprimanded. We wanted to take a picture on the swing but one of the club's supervisors asked us to delete all the pictures taken because it was forbidden, even if it was only us on it.

Quite surprising but understandable when you know that Berliners like to show themselves as they like in the evening. They do not want to be photographed or disturbed by a flash in the evening.
