The Reichstag Palace is a building in Berlin built to house the Reichstag (Reich Assembly) from 1894 until its fire on February 27, 1933. It houses the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany since the return of the institutions to Berlin in 1999.

The most interessant to visit in the Reichstag is the cupola at the top of the building. With a rooftop around it and the glass cupola and its stairs that allow to have a wonderfull view on the whole city and mostly on the Business District, this is one of the inevitable of the city.

This visit is very popular and I book it few ays before to be sure to have a place the D Day, although the visit is free.
Luck was on my side because the visit day, good weather and heat was here. This allows me to enjoy the view offered by the rooftop on the town and to try to orientate myself a bit. :P Indeed, this town is so big that it’s hard to spot the different districts. Those are the famous building that permit to recognize them such as the Fernsehturm ( the TV tower in the middle of Berlin ) or the Brandenburger Tor ( The Branderburg Door ), on of the emblem of the city that enthroned proudly in the middle of the Mitte district.

The Reichstag is a rectangular building composed of a tower at each corner. On each town, we can see the European Union flag and the German Flag.

Then, I went inside the cupola. It is a glass dome with stairs that permit to do a circular tour of the building and to enjoy the 360° view. The cupola is open to the ceiling that alloww me to enjoy one more time the good weather.

The only default of the visit is the people that doesn’t allow to enjoy fully the calm environment but it was still very acceptable. I really liked this visit and I recommande it to all the visitors of Berlin. Some interssant explanations are given in the cupola to explain the history of the building and its reconstruction after the fire.
